We are seeking talented, creative, organized, passionate, committed leaders to help us accomplish aggressive goals.  Our membership is comprised of an impressive collection of advertising professionals that could  truly make a difference in a vast array of areas.

Committee Description
ADDYS:
American Advertising Awards: Runs the local American Advertising Awards competition recognizing outstanding achievement in advertising. This committee conducts the competition which requires promotion, judging, publishing the winners book, and organizing the awards event. 
Club Achievement:
Coordinates and prepares the material of other committee chairs needed for entering the AAF Club Achievement competition. This competition allows local clubs to gain national recognition for club accomplishments in such areas as membership, communication, management public service, equal opportunities, programming, education and government relations. 
Communications:
Designs, creates and publishes the Polk Adfed's newsletter: Ad-Chat. Responsible for design and mailing of monthly meeting invitations. 
Community Relations:
Works with local and national organizations to promote and serve that organization through developing advertising campaigns, solicits local media to run PSA's endorsed, or created by AAF and the Polk Adfed. 
Diversity:
Increases minority representation in the local ad community through scholarships and recruitment programs for the club and local businesses. 
Education:
Executes programs which educate the public on the role and benefits of advertising to our society. Advances the ad professional's knowledge of the business and coordinates activities with students at local colleges and universities. 
Fundraising:
Plans and executes yearly fundraising & special events programs. Events include Swing-A-Round and Bowling Tournament. Develops new opportunities to raise funds for the club. 
Internet: 
Responsible for updating website (http://www.polkadfed.com), maintain calendar events, update news, distributes job posting to membership via email, etc.
Government Relations:
Monitors local, state and national legislative activity regarding issues pertaining to the advertising industry. Spearheads proactive and defensive actions to protect the advertising industry's best interests. 
Membership:
Solicits and retains members. Keeps accurate membership records and reports membership changes to AAF. Develops and executes programs to increase member participation in club committees. Nurtures relationships with local political, charitable, and social organizations to develop partnerships which result in the solution of an issue and the promotion of the Polk Adfed. Active in community events. 
Public Relations:
Secures publicity for Polk Adfed activities such as programs, ADDY's, Silver Medal Award and public service work. Works toward promoting the prestige of the club in the community to increase membership and solicit attendance at events. 
Programs:
Arranges for speakers and activities during the club's monthly meeting. Coordinates all programming details including meeting notices, location, reservations, ticket collections, and attendance record maintenance.
